Is there a bungie cord mount option for the Galileo sol/luna computers. My wife and I are considering purchasing these very ssoon, but really don't care for the strap.

I posted pics of a workable bungee solution in a thread a month or two ago in a Luna/Sol strap failure thread either here, on the deco stop or on the cave dive forum, but here they are again:

It uses the base of the old straps, trimmed to length to act as a spacer to keep the bungee separate. The double fisherman's knots in the bungee allow for adjustment from drysuit to wet suit to bare skin if required.

Can I ask you what's to stop the fisherman's knot spacer from loosening during diving the the computer sliding off your wrist? It looks like it's just held by friction which can be forced apart.
I have had the same problem with my strap. ScubaPro has replaced the strap no questions asked but what I did was use a Velcro strap and bungee to secure the unit. If you can find the straps used for the Cochran Gemini "Brick" (tank) unit those work great and are only a couple of dollars. Otherwise you can go to a craft store and find Velcro straps with the loop sewn into them. They are also really easy to make if you are handy with a sewing machine (as every good diver should be!!) or you can get a tailor to sew them (I am not good with a sewing machine) for almost no money. Then I simply tied a double knot with thin bungee just in case the Velcro fails. Have done over 100 dives with it this way and has not failed me yet. I will take some pictures and post them later in the week.

I've now improvised a bungee mount for my Sol which I posted elsewhere. I use 4mm bungee that has lots of stretch. The main issue with the bungee mounts is adjustability. My current solution is to tie a square knot, which can be untied, the length adjusted and the knot retied. Recently I saw another solution that I'm thinking of trying. It's the use of the plastic sprung stops that are found on the standard light lanyards. I would run the two ends of the bungee through the plastic stop and just slide the stop to adjust.
