Really? Compared to other Asean and Asian countries? Indonesia Coronavirus: 50,187 Cases and 2,620 Deaths - Worldometer

Yes really. It's one thing to go by the media's opinion polls on such topics, but in reality planes flying to Bali will be full again once things start to swing into action. The demand will outweigh those who are afraid of the covid hantu
Just look at the willingness of people to attend mass gatherings recently around the world during a "pandemic"...so of course people are willing to travel
I can't speak for other asean countries but Singapore spent almost S$100 Billion dollars of its reserves and locked down for 2 months for covid at great cost to the local economy. Theres no way we will open up to freely allow tourist from countries where the virus is still raging. We may open up to certain countries for essential travel but tourism is not considered essential travel.
But will these countries allow their own citizens to travel? It brings no benefits to these countries but only risks when they return. For example Australia has banned its citizens from travelling.

Indonesia has around 8.000 new cases per week. This means 3 per 100.000. The Netherlands has in total 290 infected people per 100.000.Yes, as 50 cases per week per 100.000 people is the current threshold where most countires in Europe will re-implement certain lockdown meassures, albeit we do that now on a more local level. But that is only a rough guideline, I'm sure that if Indonesia has 100k+ cases a week we will keep the travel advisory
Everyone benefits, the travellers, the hospitality & tourist industries and the 100's of thousands unemployed workers in the flight & aviation businessIt brings no benefits to these countries
