Rob (rhlee) and I took fundies in February with Beto Nava. We have finally finished our class report, which I have posted here:

http://coldwaterkitty.blogspot.com/2007/02/dir-f-class.html

That's the first post, there is a post for each day of the class. The report is very detailed, perhaps too detailed. But I am an extreme visualizer so I like very detailed reports :)

Overall, we both enjoyed the class a lot. It stressed me out a lot though! Which is pretty dumb in hindsight. Even Rob said he thought he performed worse under the pressure of the class than he usually does. I guess it is useful to have to do all these drills while stressed out though.

your course was 2 1/2 weeks?

That's a pretty good format, considering the amount of material that gets covered.

It's interesting to watch the evolution of this class ... and it appears that as GUE matures, formats are starting to diverge from one instructor to another ...

haha nice captions. We didn't have to break out option #1 on Naia; she was playing surface support :p

That sounds like a lovely pace for the class. There's a lot more stuff in it now than when I took it a year and a half ago, for sure.

This is the second Beto class I've heard about, and he really sounds like he puts his heart and soul into it.

There is alot of information and the class is a wirlwind. I'm still absorbing information from the class. If it were practical I would prefer to do the class over something like an eight week period and really get indepth on the subjects. For those of us who traveled to our classes (which is probably the majority of divers I'm assuming) and the fact that the price of the class would sky rocket, it's not really that practical. I will still say that it's the best money that I've spent in diving though.
