I would never use a pair of force fins for any diving where fin technique is needed... IE reefdiving, wreckdiving, cavediving... The only place where I can think that fin technique might not mess things up would be wall diving, and even there it would be useful....

Try doing a frogkick in those.... I would match my jetfins with a frogkick to anyone with forcefins doing whatever kick they wanted for distance on air consumption....

I use the V12 split fins myself. My wife always had problems keeping up with me.

Then she discovered force fins. Now I can't keep up with her. She flies through the water with very little effort. She is only 5'2", 105lbs.

Force fins work in my experince, strange all the negative opinions....

Your on. My ocean or yours.:D

The most interesting Force Fins that I've seen were at DEMA, and to this day I'm not sure of the color. They had a broad metalflake in 'em, reds, blues, purple, silver, etc.
I was wondering how long they'd stay on my feet in some of the heavily trafficked 'cuda areas...

Other than that, it's a matter of kicking style. They never worked well for me, but I'm used to the "Giant UDT Duck Feet" that I sometimes use for towing boats & small barges.
:eek:ut:

Frogkick?

Oh thats right I forgot what board I was on!!! My bad, I'll run out back and burn another BC for the DIR god....

(Love that one EZ)

Sounds like you need more time on the treadmill, or additional instruction.

More training is always beneficial, who would you recommend I go with WreckWriter?

Someone who specialises in kicking technique and the choosing of proper equipment, specifically fins.

Who specialises in kicking techniques and the choosing of proper eqquipment? Would you recommend PADI, NAUI, SSI, who should I go to learn these things?

I think you should stick with what you're most comfortable with. Personally I have cards from PADI,NASDS,IAND,IANTD, and TDI. I've found excellent instructors in each of those. I have friends who are NAUI and SSI instructors too who I know to be excellent. I'm sure all the other agencies also have some excellent instructors.

Just stay in your comfort zone.
