On the other hand it seems that all ADO drivers will slow down if it looks like they may make the ferry schedule. To be fair, ALL van guys in the Riviera Maya will speed, regardless of ferry schedules![]()

Exactly. Our SW flight (well originally Airtran) BWI to CUN was all most always around the same time. The wrong time for Mayair. Its a shame too. We never take much baggage, so it was great.Apparently lines up better flying from Denver.
Yep. Altho I often wonder why my bags do weigh as much as what you two take.i hope that is not for just yourself don?
Look at the stoplight for the island and the masking behavior of the locals on the street. If you go to Cozumel now, you have already accepted increased risks. I do my own extras, starting with a preflight test before I do to make sure I'm not going to expose the planeload of people.Wow, did DD JUST say to not worry about reducing your risk of COVID???? Don't do anything extra? You said that???
I travel alone.I have done the bus. Its fine for a plebian form of transport..
i had to google "plebian". lolYea we did Mayair alot before the pandemia. Often the time was off, so we did the van and ferry. More often we took it back to CUN as the timing was closer.
Van and ferry coming down is nice. Like the ferry is an excursion, a nice boat ride with cold beer. I have done the bus. Its fine for a plebian form of transport....
Going back is checking the watch and feeling rushed.
We have started using the SWA BWI to Hobby to CZM. It is longer travel time and you put yourself at risk of delays in the Hobby to Baltimore flight (4 hours this summer. Good gravy that was a huge bar bill) but the wife really likes flying into the island.
And for us, flying to Cancun always gets us on the Island faster.
I wish they didn't use my picture next that word in the dictionaryi had to google "plebian". lol
I no longer make my own weights.150 lbs includes the kitchen sink.![]()
Cool! That's good to know.Another option would be to book on Mayair. They are running again. For how long is anybody's guess.
It's quick and at least used to be cheap for residents. When I had a big suitcase full of door locks it was so worth it not to have to deal with it on the ferry. Why do people want to fly 35 miles?
One reason could be a desire to get on with it when heading home. The van and ferry were fun on the way from CUN to CZM, but going home, not so much. Why do people want to fly 35 miles?
