pakman:
hey I'll make it back to PI well before the xmas Leyte trip. Actually, looking at the HK holiday calendar, anyone up for some dives around Easter weekend (if you don't have family/ church obligations...)? We get Apr 14 and 17 off so I could do a nice 4-5 day long weekend...

count me in:)

Here's a shot of us during our SI. From left to right: Chip, distant relative of Kim Jong Il, and Spoon.

thanks Chip for the photo.

Nice report... Nice pictures.

I was going to say that Cathedral is still closed isn't it? Chip wouldn't be leading our Korean friend into doing something illegal would he? :)
Pak was threatening me! Take him to Cathedral so he could carve up the cross or he'll burn my eyes out with his HID! To be honest, I'm not sure about the situation - some dive professionals I've talked to think the rule is BS and have been boycotting the rule (rationale: they're the ones that protect it, so they should have dibs on it). I did notice the other dive group we ran into was heading for the adjacent reef (Dive 7000) but when they saw us heading towards cathedral they followed suit and changed directions!

Actually I'm glad we overshot it - saw a lot of interesting stuff that we wouldn't have. And I gained some experience in navigation. :)

Pak: count me in on the easter dives! (dunno, maybe I'll still be around)

yomar:
haha.. japanese tshirt
ultraman_1.jpg

Yomar, just in case you thought I was joking, I was really wearing a t-shirt with Japanese on it (says "ultraman 7") at AquaV to blend in with the group of Japanese divers that were there that day. But the bottle of kimchi I was carrying around was a dead giveaway...

hahahaha

does it really read "ultraman?" I studied a little nihonggo and I think it reads "i'm a korean graffiti artist. this is my take on the number 7:"

Seriously, you did not need to disguise yourself, pak. Filipinos love koreans. Know why? Do you know the soap "Lovers in Paris?" That's why :D

Pinoys go gaga over those Korean soaps.

yomar:
haha. Nope. But I admit I watched MARIMAR back in the day. hahahaha

Yummm...Thalia...no wonder Tommy Mottola left Mariah Carey..

actually it says this "this Korean guy has an IQ of 7"...

yikes Korean soap operas in the PI as well??? First its Japan, then HK, and now PI???

Why yes of course, its all part of our evil plot for world domination... swamp the world with sappy soap operas and bad divers... muhahaha...
