Funny, I thought your completely basesless attacks, and attempts at defending them, were way uncalled for, especially since you have not even seen, let alone dove one of our rigs. And just so you know, the difference in height of the tank between ours and the Halcyon wing is .090". If .090" causes you troubles, sorry to hear it. Most people who have used and dove our system *prefer* the STA we build. If you dont, fine, no one expects you to buy one! Our wing has slots in it so you can use it without an STA if you want to, but most people find the use of the STA prefferable, including me, the guy who designed and built it because I didnt like the STA-less Halcyon wing.Scott
Cussing at people on the forum is absolutely not allowed. Period. Do you understand that simple point. It isn't hard to understand. If you can't get your point across without cussing. Don't respond to an post.
And the attacks aren't baseless. You yourself said you need to use an STA. You don't have rods in the wing. It doesn't have anything to keep the tank Stable. You'd have to add something on. Which is what a STA is. So yep. You have to use an STA with your wing. You might have slots in it. But you don't have anything on the wing to stabalize the tank.
And it's nice that your wing can be used without an STA. So exactly how would it be stable without any rods in the wing??? I know the halcyon Pioneer is stable. At least for me. If I wanted it more stable I'd use stainless strapping. Then you'd need a cutter to seperate it. But I don't need that. Neither do others who dive without the STA...

And where did I or anyone else lie?
No slamming??? You slammed Patrick from the gate, and then you tried to slam me and my stuff, and you still are! You were wrong, and now you have backed yourself into a corner, and your only continuing defense is to slam Patrick and I from a position of complete ignorance of what you are slamming. Dive one before you slam it. Look at one and ask questions before you slam the materials or construction.Scott
I didn't slam Patrick. I said exactly what happened. I'm sorry if some people have to be held responsible for there actions and what they say.
I'm not in a corner at all. You still haven't given any type of answers or proof of anything. You're the one who's in the corner. Where is the proof this wing is high quality. From being on the market for 3 weeks????? That ain't proof...
I never slammed the material or the construction. I said you are limiting yourself by forcing people to use an STA because some people prefer not to. They either buy yours and HAVE to use an STA. Or have to go to Halcyon.

YOU ARE WRONG.
Halcyons Pioneer wings have been leaking from day one, and for a very simple reason, yet they continue to make them in the same way with the same materials. I had three of them myself (out of about 10) that leaked.
How do you defend that, if they have been so well perfected?
Part of the reason Patrick and I are even getting into this is because there were issues with the Halcyon wings, subtle issues yes, but issues none the less, that Halcyon was made aware of on numerous occaisions, including by me. The input was ignored, and instead the old "you dont know what youre talking about" was what we got back. If they had acted on diver input, instead of showing everyone with eloquent sales pitches, Patrick and I wouldnt have a market. Scott [/B]
Read the posts before you spout off. I have Dive Rite, OMS, And Halcyon wings. I said they all have things I like and dislike. I like the Halcyon for it small size and not having to use an STA. I never said it didn't have problems too. Yet you keep posting that there wing is crap. Which it isn't. Does it have problems. Yea. Calm yourself down and have someone read the posts to you. And explain them. You keep bringing up Halcyon. I just said I like not having the STA. But once again. Your wing hasn't been on the market long enough to be tested.

> And about all Halcyon's Backplates coming from
> China. Where does ScottK get his steel from?
This is what we call "slimy innuendo."
Halcyons backplates are made in Taiwan of Taiwanese labor. Strickly in the interest of increased profits.
My steel is made in the US, it is fabricated in the US. If you dont know how to tell where your steel comes from, thats too bad, but dont attack me with innuendo. It isnt cheap, about twice as much as the Chinese crap.
See, I live in an area where a lot of work gets done for Boeing and other US Government contracts, so the stuff is easy for me to acquire. Other places would have to have it shipped in on special order.Scott [/B]
Yea, I work near a Boeing plant. Friend actually works where they test the metals at Boeing. Did you know off every piece of metal for stressed parts there is an extra stub of metal that has to be tested after being heat treated??? Landing gear is a Big one for the F-15... Those are government contracts....
And Who is the manufacturer of your steel???? If you KNOW it's made in the US... You don't answer any questions do you. Just ask questions of others and tell them what you want. Steel isn't just made in China, Taiwan, and US. Like I said. Japan used to ship over and stamp the National Steel brand on there coils... I've seen it. Have you worked in an Industry. Obviously not. You don't seem to know how they work. And if you're buying it from a supplier. Check for yourself to see what is stamped on the coil. Cause it doesn't ship from the Hot Strip or Roller Mill or Caster or Pickle Line or Galvanizing line in sheets. Very few plants ship sheet steel. They send it out to be chopped. Then they send it to suppliers. Guess what. The steel from other countries comes in coils to. And cut down here. It's cheaper to ship in bulk.
And the real bad thing is. Japan probably makes the BEST steel in the Industry. They took our manufacturing process and made them better. It sucks but there surface has always had tighter tollerances then US Steel. Period. The new Mini mills have gotten real close to the Japanese. But still not quite. The only way big Steel producers can compete is Volume. Period. We don't have the Shipping costs. Russia, China and other countries are sending steel in at a loss. To keep there people working. They are subsidized by there government. And yep, It's all junk. Lots of impurities in the metal. Not always what it is supposed to. Ever seen Stainless rust. I've seen 316 rust. Just like black iron. It was from China.

We dont expect to make everyone happy, but I am also not going to sit on my hands while you attack Patrick and I with innuendo and outright fabrications and innuendo. You were wrong, and you are still wrong, and I am sure you will remain wrong.
Scott [/B]
You have to use a STA with your wing. Period. So how am I wrong??? If you strap a tank on your wing. You might get the bands threw. But what is going to keep the tank from tilting???? You have to have a STA. So I ain't wrong. Never was wrong. And never will be wrong. You just don't know what you're talking about.
If you want me to keep proving you wrong. Just keep posting. I can be as childish as you....
