Bob, I did know that (and thank you). But TSandM wrote:
I'll never go back.
and I just was/am curious if "never" really means "never."

Oh, H2A -- I'm the one with the Black Hat and small ears.

uhhh... respectfully, Jordan- but the height issue is crap. I'm 5'3" and have never had a problem with any backplate. I suspect you (as a man) are taller than that :)

TSandM:
BTW, I ended up crossing my straps, too. For those of us with narrow shoulders, it helps a lot.

A FredT plate allows a couple of alternative ways to web the plate which might help some gals get a better fit...

Stephen, I wonder if that would make the plate ride even lower than crossing the straps the other way does?

Jordan:
There are some companies out there that produce a short BP, but I understand they can be hard to get your pretty little hands on.

All ya gotta do is ask, We have them in stock in both 11 ga SS and Kydex.

I doubt it. The FredT way should put the "X" closer to the plate and further from your neck. If anything I'd guess it would allow the plate to ride higher, if desired.

Perhaps... but you can still set it at the appropriate height.

The second method seems to be a pretty good solution for gals that have a problem with webbing that pushes out laterally and cuts into the arms.

Any of you ladies who have your harnessed crossed if you could post a picture I would be most grateful. It sounds like my harness is too wide, my spare lights ar pratically in my armpits. This "crossing" sounds like it could be my answer. Thanks
