Ok, super-newbie question here, i think just looking for confirmation!

I have a set of Mares Quattros and size 10 feet, on my earlier checkout dives i kept feeling the fin strap slipping down my achilles heel, so this last weekend (12/13) while we were out diving in about 70ft (twice around 25 mins per dive with 50+ mins SI - good by the tables), i thought i would tighten up my straps a notch or two. It felt fine when i put them on, fine when i took them off on the boat on surfacing in SI and on the way back to the harbour. We had driven down from Orlando to Jupiter that morning, just under a 3 hour drive and returned that evening after diving. On sunday morning i woke up with a slight swelling and redness on the extreme edges of the balls of my feet, mostly on my right, but slightly on my left foot too. The were this red, slightly swollen area are right behind my big and little toe where the "knuckle" (ball in UK, no idea in US) is, these areas arent huge but walking is a little uncomfortable due to the rubbing on my shoes at those extreme points. There is also a slight swelling under the big toes between the end of the toe and the foot proper, out from the ball.

Well anyway, the only things that i did differently was tightening my strap and the long drive before and after (without cruise control). Is this what i should expect, i am going to loosen up the strap a little, possibly over-tightened by too much rather than a small amount.

Any ideas, not trying to be a hypocondriac, just wondering if a little tightening up can cause swelling that can last for over 4 days.

Ok, it pretty much went away, went diving yesterday, ears and feet were fine. Guess it probably was just that, will loosen them up next time!!
