Heights for a concrete example.
For something less concrete, or "nameable"....The Unknown. I'm getting ready to start a new job after being at my current job for 8 years (And my first "grown up" job, at that). I'm terrified. Currently, I'm a big fish in a relatively small pond. Now I'm going to a company 4 times the size.......fear of not being as smart as I think I am; fear of falling on my face; all that........and it can be duplicated in other settings: dating; diving with new people who don't know me yet; etc. etc. Or maybe it could be called fear of change............
