Pushing thru never helps. You need to address the source of the anxiety and solve each trigger before advancing.
That’s not true plenty of people have been through plenty of anxious situations and have found peace on the other side.

I agree. I was referring to the cycle of anxiety on a dive. It's never good to push thru. Stop, Think and Breathe. Deal with this first. Feeling pressure to go deeper, faster or keep up with a group will only accelerate the anxiety and could lead to panic. But you are 100% correct, just because you had a bad dive is no reason to stop diving.
