Well I did a thread search and made it back to 2005. There was still talk of the Rhum Tote but I do not see the thread of it's first appearence when the debate started over drinking whisky, and vodka when the true drink of Sailors, Pirates and divers should be Rhum!
Shortly after that a ante or offering was required for anyone who showed up to a FL Conch event for the first time.. a bottle of Rhum.
