Emergency whistle - where/how to stow it?

I like the DIR approach, if you need it on the dive it goes in the right pocket, if it's an emergency or a possibility it goes in the left.

How many times have I blown a whistle instead of orally filling my wing from the inflator........[emoji6]

I used to have it cave tied to a bolt snap (cut off the leash and tied straight on to the whistle) and clipped off the bungee in a thigh pocket.

Then I got wet notes stuck it in there.

I clip it (along with my octo) to the ring on the bottom of the strap you use to pull down & tighten the BC. I can easily reach both and it is a very minor problem tangling with other stuff. You may not have a comparable place.
