Ecology of the ocean - help needed !

I'm writing a marine science paper and I'm looking for information from about 3 organisations which are concerned with the ecology of the oceans, e.g. scientific interest groups, recreational activities group, environmental issues groups and thought that SB members would either be members of such groups or know people who are...

What I'm looking for is the purpose and aims of each group and the general make up of membership (numbers, adult, children, students, professionals, etc etc). Happy to see the diversity across the Asia Pacific region which is why I've posted in the General Asia thread rather than Singapore.
