I think on my next dive I'll try some cheese puffs.
I think it could be doable from a coiled tube(keeping the opening either closed off or facing downward)
Well I guess that would only work right at the surface eh?

SuPrBuGmAn:
I hear the little Capri Sun pouches are easy enough to poke a hole in and drink UW.
So these manly men are drinking manly beverages like whole cases of beer and kegs, and you're gonna pull out a pouch of Capri Sun???

Brewone0to:
If you dive in a spring run.
And other divers are also in the spring pool.
And suppose there is a cave supplying the flow.
And in this cave are even more divers.
All of which are actually upstreamfrom the pool/run.
And you sneak a little drink.
So,are the statistics true?

I mean that 9 out of 10 divers pee in their wetsuits, and 1 out of 10 are liars??
Just wondered about that statistic I keep reading about on wetsuit posting concerning whether to buy or rent wetsuits.

Good point. That's why I only drink in high flow systems. :D

yah, there are lots of jokes about not "swimming behind the guy with a pee valve" lol

but most guys (with drysuits) just hold it, so if you get deep enough into the cave your pretty unlikely to ummm... yah

Nomad - sounds like Weeki Wachee Springs! Nearly 60 years of Mermaid entertailment :D

GDI - I've never done the eat/drink thing, but I have been pondering a camelback with me while fossiling or diving nitrox to offest the cotton mouth of the 60+ minute dives I do... food probably isn't a bad idea. :)

I wonder if we could rig a drysuit and a camel pack up inside to have warm water to drink for those colder dives?

I just use gatorade or powerade sport bottles and take bananas with me. Up north we all did the champaine thing during the annual new years eve toast dive

Now those cylinders you guys are thinking of rigging up would they be 104's , 112's, 85's or 120's. Sober minds want to know?

Disclaimer: drinking and diving can be hazardous to your health (wait a minute so can diving!)

Do you see anything wrong with pulling out half of a grapefruit and a packet of sugar?

120's of course. A 40 in, a 40 out, and a 40 just in case. If you make it out with the extra 40, then you have a 40 for the SI!

If you figure out how to do that, let me know. A little tequila, lime, and salt shot would be nice too!

Ya but I hate stuffing chili in my BC... I'll just stick with the bananas. Mmm Tequila and bananas.

I can understand the concept of drinking underwater without getting all the nasty bacteria and stuff in your mouth, but eating? Just the thought of all the microbes that would be on a piece of food that was exposed to the underwater environment makes me nauseous - and my stomach is pretty strong.
