Nomad - sounds like Weeki Wachee Springs! Nearly 60 years of Mermaid entertailment :D

GDI - I've never done the eat/drink thing, but I have been pondering a camelback with me while fossiling or diving nitrox to offest the cotton mouth of the 60+ minute dives I do... food probably isn't a bad idea. :)

I tell ya, that place must really be something. The season passes are a whopping $39.95.. whew!

I heard of people for the new years dive putting champane in babby bottles and drinking it under water for a toat to the new year. though now you guys got me thinking of throwing a gatorade into my pocket for some thirst quenching under water especially while doing river searches.

Nomad:
There is a dive spot nearby called "Aquarina Springs"

Up until sometime in the '70's, this place was a BIGTIME tourist destination. There was a structure where you could go down and look through the window into the springs. They had a whole bunch of women dressed up like mermaids who would breathe air out of tubes. They would swim through rings, eat food, drink soda pop...all underwater.

The place even had a swimming pig, named Ralph. What more could you possibly want?

You forgot to mention blowing the Air Rings! The swimming pig was sad.

There is this.

I have never tried it, but it was recommended by those who do use it, in other posts.

Search for SCUDA, and you'll see.

I purchased a basic technical diving manual out of curiosity and it covered how to eat and drink underwater. I can't remember which one it was but the cover is red and it is spiral bound. Thought about adding that to my AOW classes for fun, have to master it myself first though :)

I hear the little Capri Sun pouches are easy enough to poke a hole in and drink UW.

I can't manage to get the straw in those things above water let alone underwater with dry gloves on :D I have heard of people doing this with success though.

Check this thread out for a solution when using doubles: http://thedecostop.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15510
I don't think DSS has released these yet but they look cool.
