This just in: Catalina Divers Supply has generously offered some terrific prizes! Thanks Chris!
Thanks for the link, Dave. Looks like CDS has built a really nice new web site. Congrats Chris.
It looks like I'm going to be able to bring someone to help me - at least, out of the water. My 19-yr-old son is currently nearing the end of 6 months of Army training in Missouri, and he just told me he got his return date - May 31. So I'll bring him with me to be my dive Sherpa . He doesn't dive (yet). So he'll give me the assistance I need with transporting my gear on the ferry, carting my tank to the fill station, getting my gear down to the stairs. I'll only need assistance from my wonderful diver volunteers to swim the gear out to the water so I can gear up, and then haul it back out of the water.
And while we're at it, maybe my son will get bit by the bug and want to learn to dive.
Perfect!!!
Your son will by then be highly qualified to act as a pack mule.
