I have a few DSS boots as part of my dive kit. Make sure to order the Suunto SK7 compass mount at the same time, plus about 10ft of the bungee cord. You WILL find many uses for the bungee cord over time.

The only comment re: DSS Boots would have to be " pure and simple genious, with a mix of friggin badazz engineering"
You can have my Suunto SK7 boot when you pry it from my cold narced fingers.

The bungees don't need to be so tightly tensioned to hold the gauges/compasses/computers in place.

My wife had an issue with using her computer and compass when she switched from 3mm suit, 7mm suit , drysuit , thicker underwear etc. What I did was go to a smaller diameter bungee and put a "lace toggle" on it. The excess bungee that would be unused when she was wearing a thinner suit was just tucked under the gauge/compass.

I have DSS mounts for my VT-3 computer and SK-7 compass. I've found that I can easily adjust from drysuit to tropical 1/2 mil simply by pulling more bungee through the holes.

Love them!!

Any chance you could post of photo of the lace toggle. Are you using 1/8 or 5/32 bungee.

Just be cautious that the mount can sometimes trap water and so the gauge doesn't turn off as quickly as it might sans-gauge.

I have also had an issue where sometimes it seems to maybe put pressure on the gauges pressure sensor and again, keep the unit on (this is just a theory, but I have had times when the gauge has stayed on for a long time). Solution here was to take it out of the mount for a while and then put back in.

Apart from that, it works well.

You may have to "work it" to get the Vyper in as the mount is quite snug, and you have to work those two "prongs" through the mount a bit

I just tried my new DSS mount with my old Vyper. Had to use hot water to soften the boot to work the computer into it. The PC pins and the sensor are fully exposed so I don't see how the mount can trap water.

For the bungee I used 3/16 inch marine grade bought on Ebay and threaded it very close to the method of

Very pleased with the results and it's so easy to adjust.
