Steve Egner:
I get my Sushi from Costco. I think it's made there by robots.

I only eat it for the wasabi rush, anyway.

Steve

hahah yep that's me in a nutshell. I was never schooled on proper sushi etiquette and probably do every wrong redneck uncouth thing you can think of with it and buy it from places that would make a lot of you cringe. Actually I should probably just soak a piece of bread in soy and wasabi and just eat that!

yes, http://www.shiros.com

2. When you entered the establishment does the sushi chef recognize you immediately (doesn’t matter how far away or how busy they are) and said "irashaimase" - welcome?

... Trout: Does not taste too good raw.
You're eating the wrong trout then. Small rainbows, caught through the ice are downright tasty.

One of my favorite articles/stories is the "The Crawfish-Sea Urchin Tale" found at the "Gumbo Pages".

It's a great read for anyone that likes mudbugs OR uni. :D

MoonWrasse:
Now that we all know that most of the sushi comes from the moonies, will you still eat it?

Wow! Thanks for providing this link. If true, we all have to look carefully at sushi from the levels starting at the fishing boats and ending to the final distribution of product. I do wish the audio clip had stated some sources as uncovering these layers will probably be very, very difficult. It seems that these former rose-holding, love bombing culties have cleverly altered their domination gameplan. Grrrrh. X

Hawaii has spam sushi, you can get in the 7-11 or a regular sushi carryout.

I haven't reached the status where the clerk knows me by name.
