It is currently the best computer on the market. As it has Buhlman with GF, you can plan a tech profile with it with multiple gasses (and be pretty sure that it will match others) but it will also run rec dives with no issues. It has AI should you decide you want integration that works well (very very few disconnects from anecdotal evidence on here). Has a compass should you need/want it. Has a pretty big clear screen which is readable in pretty much all light conditions.
There are others that do the same but they are either not as available (OSTC), more expensive for the similar feature set (Ratio) or use strange algorithms (Suunto Eon - uses RGBM).

Shearwater is also known for the best customer support in the industry.
Software upgrades are free.
No need to buy an extra cable to download your dives, it is done via Bluetooth. And they even include a USB Bluetooth dongle just to make sure it will work.
