hi...

I like to ask you for some help, a friend of mine and my self, have been talking abort starting on the dm and instructor line, here in Denmark.
But so fare we are not yet sure on which of the following certf. we shold join,PADI or NAUI. PADI is, I think, the fare most know'n around the world, but with NAUI we don't how it is.
the price of all the courses we need to get our instuctor certf. are were diffirent from each and another, the price we have from a PADI is 4500 us $, and for the NAUI 2900 us $. both are with ALL included.
So the basic of our problem are, is the PADI certf. that much better concidering the pricedifferents? or how are the two certf. compared too each and another, any recommendations??

Troll, troll, troll your boat... gently down the stream.....

As an instructor, you'll probably want to maximize your potential clientele.

Way I see it is, Naui is too tough for the average joe. You'd make more money teaching the PADI way. Gotta feed the kids you know.

If your goal is to travel, then PADI. If you want to stay in your local area, look at the shops around and see what's prevelent.
In the Carib I never saw anything other than a PADI shop, and non-PADI instructors needed a crossover to find work. Other areas may differ.

You'll be able to teach with either agency. Getting a job is not an issue. This shop might not take you if you're NAUI, that one won't take you if you're PADI. It a non-issue.

NAUI is not too hard for the average Joe. It's actually easier if taught logically and not just thrown at students.

What is your philosophy in teaching?

Do you believe more skills equates to more confidence and results in less of a tendency to panic? Choose NAUI.

Do you believe more skills equates to task loading and a greater tendency to panic? Choose PADI.

There are a whole bunch of agencies not mentioned, but that wasn't the question.

I know, but it seems that for some reason whenever an agency question comes up, the OP only asks about one or two agencies, while failing to consider the several other big agencies. I don't know if it is because they have already considered the others, or because they are just ignorant of their existence.
