but if you put your pvc ring in your arm covered by your wrist seal... how your seal protect from flooding if you make a hole in your glove??

It has been covered already though.

This part is covered with a dry glove... So, basically, you just wear a dry glove over your wrist seal.... That's it!:D

Ok, these may be a little better than my Henderson 3mm Gold Core gloves I was going to try because of the fleece lining. I'll give them a try and I know exactly where to get them. If they don't work, I'll take them back. :D

Glacier Gloves @ Bass Pro Shops

Thanks!

Richard

These don't look like the gloves I bought. They do look nice though. I'll get pictures this week.

Ok, so I made a pair too, but used a round vac belt instead of the flat one. With both my suits (DUI & Northern Diver) I can only slip the ring up to the area where the latex to drysuit material attachment is made. The ring is too large to sit back in, even slightly, the material side. With the DUI, I am able to push the ring down the sleeve, but with the N.D. suit, I have to slip the ring up through the latex and back toward the sleeve area as far as I can go. The coupling I bought was a 3" coupler, but it's outside diameter is closer to 4". Is this the same one that everyone else is using? Anyone else have any issues like the one I'm talking about?

Nice job. What kind of tool have you used? The groove on the PVC is so clean.....:D Mine is ugly though...

I can check the size tonight but I do know that it is larger than 3" because it is the coupler for 3" pipe.

My rings does not move up far enough to touch the suit material at all but I have Zip seals. The PVC ring stays completely in the zip seal with no issues.

I think the zip seal has some advantage on the size of diameter because it has an end where the ring is able to be sit as you see on my post picture.....

I just used a Dremmel, with a 1/8" (thick) silicone wheel.

It's probably the same coupler, but the difference is in you using the zip seals.
I have plenty of room in the ring and wonder if I could just have used a regular 3" pvc piece. I'll give it a look next time I'm at Home Depot.

I think you're definitely right with the zip seal having a larger diameter. That's another reason why I'm wondering if a 3" pvc piece would work for non zip seals.

I did the same thing, but I don't have any pictures yet. I used the same 3" coupling. I have the same situation where the ring sits against the area where the seal mates with the sleeve. I have a concern that it will tend to twist in the seal. I do have one coupling that fits inside the 3" coupling and slides up into the sleeve. There was only one of them mixed in with the standard couplings and I have been unable to find another one anywhere. It has the outside diameter of 3" pvc but is pretty thin. Before I filed off the stop ring in the middle I couldn't get my hand through. I can't use a piece of 3" pvc because it is too thick and doesn't leave enough space for my hand to slide through. I cut the groove with a round router bit for the round vac belt to sit in.
