maybe i a little bit slow or i miss some info...

i just don't understand how you attach the pvc tube on your dry suit arm?

i think i need some more explanation

No problem, eh...:D

The ring does not get installed on the dry suit arm. To be specific, the ring is installed inside your latex wrist seal. The ring should be butted up against the area where the dry suit arm is glued to your latex wrist seal. There are pictures in this thread that show the location of the ring.

For those people that get cold wrists, all I can say is that the UnderArmor 3" wicking wristbands were AWESOME. I didn't experience cold wrists at all!

Richard

Did you wear the wristbands under your seals to allow the gloves to equalize or did you put them over the seals under the gloves?

...over the seals and under the gloves for me. I used some flexible tubing to vent from the suit to the gloves. I did it this way because I felt it would have been a PITA for me to try to pull the wrist seals over the wristbands to get a seal again at depth if a glove should start leaking. Pulling the tubes out of the gloves, I feel, is a lot easier and *quicker*. If it's not that cold, it's not a big deal to let the wrist seal sit over the wrist band. But, I was in 52f this last weekend. I didn't want to chance it.

Richard,

You Are Rock!

Happy New Year.....

No more frozen fingers for Hoosier. :D

Oh Dear,

I made one DIY ring last night.

Here are some pictures on the bottom.

As you see, I have tried to deburr the edge as much as possible, but it still looks ugly. I used the Hoover o-ring shaped belt instead of the flat belt because there was no flat belt in stock. Don’t grind too much, I made one hole…:06:

It isn’t a difficult project, but is a nasty project. It generated a lot of PVC debris and dusts all over my living room. I ate too much dusts and had to take a shower. LOL~ I don’t recommend this project unless you have a nice DIY garage. You can get the ring from OS system.... But, I can't but admit that this is a decent idea.....

:11: Good Lord Hoosier! Did you let the dog naw those grooves? LOL And ya don't need to go down that deep. Yikes.

I used mine again this weekend. They worked like a charm. ....that is until I scored a hole in one glove. But that was to be a expected hazard on this dive. It was a high speed drift dive down a river section that gets no deeper than 12' (7' average maybe) with lots of rocks all around you. The River God finally got me at the end of the first dive. Luckily, it wasn't that cold. Because of the temp, I opted for the wet gloves on the next dive. I could have just as easily grabbed a spare glove out of my bag. I'm liking these rings/gloves though. :D

Richard, I absolutely like your idea. I am sure that it works well because the seal is a darn tight between the glove and wrist latex.

I was only describing the job environment for someone who doesn't have an isolate garage. :D Yeah, I went down too much because of the rounded belt. The belt has more depth than the flat belt. Hey, that is the best I could do... LOL~~~~

As long as it works, who cares!!! :D The ring is supposed to be located inside of zipseal.
