Dan, I am going to see some petrogliphs in a cave soon. My pool guy drew me a secret map. he is from the marquesas. i saw some in Spain, really far into the cave with this old man that had a kerosene soaked rag wrapped around a stick.

I tend to agree, but you must remember that people with poor viz have to come up with lots of procedures to stay entertained, especially the really bright people.

Thats what I have decided. In many ways, they ARE better divers. More fun? I am still trying to decide on that one. One reason I ask for ice divers to post their pictures recently, is I wanted to see if they were smiling.

Which thread is that? I'll post a couple of pictures too. I guarantee you I was smiling but you can't see it very well with the reg in my mouth...

I am sure there are some women around someplace, but you cannot help but wonder if men go to the tropics to be WITH women and the ones that are tech diving, go to get AWAY from women.

I go to the tropics to go diving. Last time my two buddies were a man and a woman. under water it's all the same. You could come from Mars and I wouldn't care as long as you can function in a team. In Holland some of the most accomplished wreck and cave divers around are women. They're outnumbered about 500 to 1 by the men but they're out there.

Funny, everyone denied the boy's club thing. When I got home I had a few PM's that said "yea, you are right..." I have noticed some people would rather not say what they think on SB. They have public answers and private answers. I'm learning.

Yea, I was just commenting on the male dominated niche. But it isn't cool to say that.

It was actually a tech diver class (5thd-X's version of Tech 1). I'm working on the class report and should have it up in a bit, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Diving helium is great!!!
