Maybe some of it will make more sense then. Or maybe it's just that I haven't gone diving anywere warm and toasty and have no clue what I'm missing.

Awe-inspiring. I am a bit claustraphobic so to penetrate far isn't appealing. I do love the lighting in there.

Wait until you have a silt out...seperates the mice from the others.

I don't mean to put word into Dan's mouth, but what I read into what he said....which I do agree with. Is don't take Unnecessary risks. We (divers) should know better now.

oh yea, ...nobody is inviting me. I will dive Vancouver in the next two years I think. I have to get to PNG first. Ski trip changed to Telluride for some reason.

Yep. We all take calculated risks when diving, but unnecessary risks for bravado's sake?

like the Sea Tiger? Well, since I get narced at 120, I don't think it is in my immediate future. I dove with Duckster the other day and he is getting ready to do the Doria. He did not really need me. i kinda made a fool of myself, I said "now don't you go down to that engine room by yourself." he just blew me off. So, I just waited around trying to figure my gauges out. Funny how right around 120 I cannot think very well.

oh, like the Steinbeck book...I thought it was a term like a panic attack, scurrying around in the dark. they say rust silt is like pretty opaque. my daughter just did a project on bio-rusting of wrecks. You know its caused by bacteria that allows the metal to oxidize faster.
