Tomales doesn't sound like a dive area for new divers.

Breakwater in Monterey is a great place for new divers.

The dive that interests me at Tomales is the shallows around Tom's Point. It would be a cool free dive to see all the critters in the shallow eel grass habitat. Mostly sandy and grassy bottom, and flats of about 6-9 feet deep. Maybe film the bat rays mating. I'd be interested in Spud Point or the coast guard cove at Doran too.
