I just purchased the Diverite 905 drysuit along with the 5mm hood. The face seal on the hood covers a little too much real estate on my face, and tends to distort the mask skirts on any of my masks (Seavision, TUSA and Deep Sea). My understanding is that the face seal can be trimmed. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this properly...how much to trim away, and with what cutting instrument (e.g. scissors, Xacto knife, etc.)? I realize it is only a $30 hood, but I do not want to screw it up.

Thanks for your input.
