Gotta say, the best i've used as an underwater cameraman.....using the Blacktip AND CUDA....my main camera ship is the Cuda. Cant say enough about it...

I am sorry ;-)
That's not much of a reply....can you tell me what you prefer and why? I've used a few different rigs over the years and for me based in N. America....getting parts whether for my camera/housing/dive gear is a big factor. I can get these easily from DiveExtras in Washington...and as for batteries....the fact they use standard Lithium Ion Tool batteries...is a huge advantage in that i dont have to carry them on the plane if i dont want to and i can easily buy them at a Home Depot if i need them some place in the world....just a big advantage in my opinion.

Use the "search" function. Some stuff may surprise you.

ah...the mystery...now thats surprising. But please do give me your thoughts or point me...
The Cuda is reliable and a solid performer, although the trigger rod and the shaft seal are both pains and relatively big weak spots. Would not trade for a blacktip

The Cuda far out performs the blacktop for sure. For me it often boils down to how easy it is to repair, annual seals and then the battery. Batteries that only the manufacturer makes are a pain. And taking advantage of the tool batts out there was a great idea. Even worse trying to get parts from Europe when you are in N America. Since I work with my equipment, that’s a big deal. Same for rebreathers….having easy to buy parts just makes it all simpler.

The genesis warpcore has even more user-friendly batteries.

It's not a question of power, even in the Cuda the shaft seal leaks and needs periodic service and the trigger rod will corrode into the strut or sometimes lose its magnetism and the switch basically fails. These are two Cuda flaws that some other scooters either dont have or have engineered out completely

Point taken....i try to put a new shaft seal annually and clean up the trigger as well when needed. I've only had one issue, but that was years ago with a different model and the magnet.
Still batteries have been the main point for me traveling and size of batts. as well as when a failure occurs, where and how long to get a batt....not to mention cost....whereas massively made tool batteries come at far less cost. Each of these manufactures has their high and low points for sure.
