Not if you rinse it well and let it dry out. Aluminum hates trapped salt and moisture.

I took it to a welding shop, they do a lot of weldments, heavy duty frames, cosmetic sheet metal etc and are very good with powder coating. I work in biotech, so they make our instrument frames for us, it was a job that was right up their alley.I love the British racing green! So cool
What kind of shop did you take it to do that work?
Also - with the new paint, have you noticed any change in weighting or balance?
