I have had an Aeris Elite for 2 years (thanks yet again to Larry from Scubatoys) and had no problems. Battery is still going strong after 50 or so dives and I have no complaints about the computer.

Thanks for the info guys

I got mine in Europe and did not get the nice deal you guys get in the states with the free battery replacement.
I work on a remote island in Indonesia and do between 600 and 700 dives a year so I have to change the battery frequently. To change the battery I have to send it to Hong Kong and that easy takes a month before I get it back.

It's a pity cause I'm an uwatec fan. But I think they are losing a lot of customers because of the non user replacable battery. Especially for people like me who do not live close to a Uwatec service center.

I recommend the Aeris Elite. It is an excellent (if somewhat pricey) product. Batteries are easily user replaceable (but not cheap) and advance warning is given.

Not cheap?? The battery in the wrist unit is a stock 2450 http://www.scubatoys.com/store/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=CR2450 and they are 3.95. The battery for the transmitter, they're 9.95. That seems kinda cheap.... A lot cheaper than say uwatec batts..
