Here is the over pressure valve. When it fails, it will generally be missing and there may be discoloration around the orifice. There may also be water in the battery compartment. Take a look, easy to check.Mmm that is sad, high pressure release valve... Where is this located?
Thanks! It looks like you gotta remove the transmitter to see it, most likely why I couldn't at a glance. Here is the over pressure valve. We all look forward to hearing about your experience with Oceanic/Huish. It has been my impression that they do not service Aqualung branded Pelagic Pressure Systems MH8A transmitters, but others say they have had success. You may want to take a look at this:

See this regarding the Huish service policy:
Question - Serial number prefixes on Pelagic Pressure Systems MH8A transmitters
I also found 2 photos of Tusa transmitters on ebay, also prefix BM. I'm not at all sure how Huish decides to replace transmitter in their service program, perhaps it is the serial number and not the prefix. https://www.ebay.com/itm/335294149013 Couldn't find another listing. Additional information on this topic would be appreciated, particularly information regarding the prefixes for Sherwood and Tusa transmitters.
Until recently, Oceanic/Huish would replace an out of warranty, nonworking transmitter for $120. I have confirmed with Huish that they no longer do this if the transmitter has been flooded, this includes failure of the OPV.
The OPV can often be seen without taking the transmitter off the 1st stage of your regulator. You could also easily remove the battery hatch to check for any water. Did you check to see if either computer connects with the transmitter when in direct contact with it vs. being at a distance? Of course that would require that your regulator be on a cylinder so that the transmitter is turned on by the pressure. What are your two computers? Thanks! It looks like you gotta remove the transmitter to see it, most likely why I couldn't at a glance.
I'll take a look later this week or next ^^
When I changed the battery thinking it was low it had 0 water in it, I have put my right wrist mounted computer near it and it seems to work fine then for a few seconds, did it with my left one too and that worked once or twice but has not since. The OPV can often be seen without taking the transmitter off the 1st stage of your regulator. Thanks. My guess is your transmitter. I doubt Huish will replace it for the fee. The last 4 digits of your serial number are usually the manufacture date, if so, you are far out of warranty. When I changed the battery thinking it was low it had 0 water in it, I have put my right wrist mounted computer near it and it seems to work fine then for a few seconds, did it with my left one too and that worked once or twice but has not since.
The issue always returns

Thanks and I suspected as much, either way, it is what it is.Thanks. My guess is your transmitter. I doubt Huish will replace it for the fee. The last 4 digits of your serial number are usually the manufacture date, if so, you are far out of warranty.
Let us know the outcome.
Hi @KitzyNew transmitter arrived, fo instead of fc, still appears to be aqualung as by the chart.
Any difference past that? Year is 2021, so still quite old, but newer then the 2016 one (It was bought new, but prob has laid in storage for a few years)
