Tutorials

We have been working hard creating video tutorials on how to use DCbuddy with the various model-specific dive computers ... and there are a lot of those.

The first tutorial is the mini-class Suunto Dive Computer Buddy hosted on our server DiveComputerTraining that covers all the supported Suunto models. This class is free.
We plan to do a similar mini-class for the various families once development is completed.

Shipping

I am glad to report that we have shipped out all the rewards supported by the Pelagic Veo family.
We have also created a short video for the Oceanic Pro Plus 2.1 (see below) and plan to create similar videos for other models of dive computers.

Look out for your DCbuddy arriving in the next few days.

If you have any issue with your DCbuddy or see anything weird with your logs please collect a memory dump of your dive computer using the Diagnostic Mode and send it to us so we can analyze it.

If you missed the DCbuddy Kickstarter campaign you can now purchase a DCbuddy for any supported dive computer (Aeris, Genesis, Hollis, Mares, Oceanic, Sherwood, Suunto and Tusa), from any of DiveNav authorized dealers or directly from our online store.

Beta Testers

We are glad to report that the new version of the Pelagic Geo connector is working fine.

So, at this point we are looking for a few beta testers that meet the following requirements:

  • Must be based in USA.
  • Must own one (or more) of the Pelagic Geo family dive computers supported by DCbuddy.
  • Must own an iPhone (4S, 5, 5S, 5C, 6 or 6+) or a Samsung S4 or a Google Nexus 7.
  • Must be familiar with our divePAL app.
  • Must be a backer for the DCbuddy - Oceanic Geo family reward (this includes any of the following dive computers: Aeris: Manta and Epic, Oceanic: Geo, Geo 2, Atom 2 and Atom 3, Sherwood: Amphos and Amphos Air, TUSA: Zen and Zen Air.)

If you would like to be a beta tester AND you meet all of the above requirements please send us an email to divenav_team-at-divenav-dot-com specifying which dive computer(s) (brand - model) you have.

Delays

Unfortunately the issues we had with the G family have substantially affected the IR family. At this point our current estimate is to begin delivering rewards for the IR family by February next year.
