paolov:
yup , and i saw a post here in PPD asking fro DAN SEAP contact info.....

What we have in the sticky are Philippine diving emergency numbers. In fairness to that poster he was looking for the email address of DAN SEAP itself. Of course its very easy to find that on the internet.

he could get info from the number on the sticky. that is the hotline for DAN SEAP Philippines. and Dr. Ben Lunas contact is also in the sticky.

so all the info given to him could be found there pertaining to DAN SEAP.

;)

either he did not read it or he has lazy to read through

but because we are PPD, he was given info .....

Hello Christian, Kim, Paolo.

Christian- When I made that remark about including an “English-only” provision in the TOS, I wasn’t seriously asking the MODs to do it right now. I just wanted to point out how difficult it would be to enforce that rule by the time you set up other local language “barangays” and had to deal with “pasaways” from many different nations (especially if that rule/preference was not clearly stated). However, as you pointed out, this time may not even come and it may not even be necessary since the problems in each regional forum are different. So for now I’ll take Kim’s advice and stop stressing over problems before they happen (thanks Kim).

Paolo- Thanks for walking me through the technical side of the language issue. I did not see it from that angle. Also, I keep forgetting that SB is not a real place but actually a website whos owners have to be practical in order to keep it going.

Thanks for the explanation and reassurance. Although my posts may seem pessimistic, I actually want this experiment to succeed.:peace2:

Will be checking into BP soo. Should've done so sooner but my brain can only follow a few threads at a time.

"A place where the locals can discuss local issues and where English may be spoken." :D

this is it, i noticed that half the time most still spoke english and taglish (tagalog/english)

"A place where the locals can discuss local issues and where Tagalog may be spoken."

Maybe its just me...

I think ..."where Tagalog is freely spoken" sounds a lot better

Personally I think 'Filipino' rather than 'Tagalog' would be better as it encompasses all the dialects, not just the one. (someone said that earlier)

i agree with kim, Tagalog is our mouther tounge but its amongst a hundred other dialects. "Filipino" is more appropriate.

so how would you word it using "Filipino."

it has to be gramatically correct though.
