LDS said he needed to check the fittings of the no name brand because somebody who did not know what he was doing probably set it up!
Then he said I could never get it serviced because it’s not a brand name and there were no parts available. Unfortunately I opened my big mouth and said that they service first service for free but include the parts and manual.
This brought out a big sneer and comments about how bad they are if they just send you parts and expect you to service it yourself!

At this point I figured it was better to keep mouth shut and let him be.
The spare regs he made me bring sat unused in the truck and I never felt better for making the decision to buy Deep6gear regs!
This needs to go over to the "Biggest thing killing dive shops" thread

That's disappointing, the often typical ole LDS BS. Oh well, given it's "almost" all total nonsense you've nothing to worry about except finding a better LDS.

@Tournesol2000 Any chance you might tell us which LDS? You can PM me if you don't want to post publicly.

we here at udt diving inc are becoming a demo /repair facility in the very near future , and will be supporting deep 6 all the way , I get why LDS slag other gear and stores , we never have and repair most brands and don't talk you OUT of your gear . THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT , one EVER won an argument with a customer .If stores would realize that they would find people more willing to shop in their facility . granted we don't have to sell gear to keep the lighs on , but when I owned part of a "regular" dive shop I had the philosophy

Good choice, working together with Chis, you are following a business model that will become more and more
popular, efficient, and economical for all concerned.

Hi @abnfrog where in the Great White North are you located?

I get why LDS slag other gear and stores ,
Because deep down they don’t want people to dive, but instead take up kayaking, cycling, climbing or other out door activities
