I ordered a metal replacement valve for mine).
Oh where can I find that?
I gave upon that idea a while ago
(since I didn’t know the replacement valves exist, and when I tried the plastic one it didn’t work well obviously)

I ordered this one. I don't remember paying that much for it, but you know how things go. I suppose it will corrode eventually since it is nickle plated copper, but so far so good (a few hundred dives by this point)

EDIT: something weird happened to my amazon link, but it is item B089GK2RJ6 on amazon.ca

For some reason the forum software converts Amazon links into media embeds which doesn't work. You can get around it by writing the link in BBCode.

Here's your link in BBCode and the result

Code:
[URL="https://www.amazon.ca/Tongina-Inflator-Replacement-Connector-Accessories/dp/B089GK2RJ6"]amazon Canada -Tongina Inflator Replacement[/URL]

amazon Canada -Tongina Inflator Replacement

Wasn’t the Pilot (1976) also paired with an mk5 ?

open the link my diving brother and drill baby drill, that's what I did and the information was all mine

Plated copper, really, phooey!

These are non locking, push in retracting the collar, boom, the smb is inflated, release and away it goes.
Piranha Dive, my go to for all manner of the weird and wonderful.

On a rebreather, I stick the OPV in it so it doesn't get packed with dirt when sitting on the first stages. If the regs doesn't come with it, I wouldn't pay extra for it to use with a rebreather. They are for better hose routing with doubles primarily, but also works well for bailout regs.

Doesn't have a check valve though right, so you still need to depress the plunger when oral or inflator hose inflating? Any idea if the barbs on that Piranha inflator would fit Halcyon dsmb like the one below? I have this model, and the oral inflate works fine, but its a little awkward. I need to bite the rubber head rather than pushing it against my lips (does that sound dirty or what?!?) and sometimes I don't get a full inflate at 20' or shallower due to incomplete lip seal. I wonder if that piranha one would be soft enough of an actuation that I could just use lips to depress?

Yes, you still need to retract the collar and then press the barb into the retracted collar. I am talking about using an LP hose or Y splitter from your BC LP hose to inflate.

Due to a DUI driver who hit my mom and me when I was a child I have permanent implants for front teeth. I cannot press those flats or use my teeth as a pry bar without pain as is required on some of these dsmb inflators. I use my LP inflator hose and a Y splitter whenever possible.

I got the one above decades ago when I worked for a store that sold Dacor and Scubapro. DGX has a similar one though it is more heavily made but otherwise fine, I guess it can serve as some additional ballast for you guys with stainless metal plates ;):

As to the MkV and MkX firsts that I have with the fifth port, I do not use the fifth port except for doubles. I just do not like the hose routing for singles.

Yep, Piranha is great, for those in the USA. Outside the US shipping is prohibitive for small purchases.

Well, you know, it is probably made in China so surely there is similar available elsewhere?
