In my old age I am starting to believe the Dry Suit, Dry Gloves, and Thinslate (sp?) undergarments are the greatest inventions in diving ever. But that will not stop us from diving in 48degree water of the PNW this week and the 81degree water of PNG next week!!!

Dive cold man :D !! Where's your spunk :evilo: ?! Up here in New England it's ~45-48 F. BRACING!!! But in all honesty, I'm a cold wuss :errrr: , but I'm going to continue diving wet here until I my body won't let me anymore. I will not be unsafe, but the first time I have to give my buddies the " Cold" sign, that's it...I've lost alot of Fat over the past year and a half, I no longer have the old natural insulation I used to. So, when I stop enjoying the dive because of shivering, I'm done....
I however cannot believe some of you lot complaining about the water being 74F. Oh my GAWD :icorolley what I would give for that Bathwater....My heart bleeds for ya :evil_4: !!!
God bless ya though!!! I wish I were hanging with you..

My problem is trying to get my scubapro jets into my Salomon Bindings ...:D

I'll dive until Ice covers all the lakes in the area (mid january) and then, the hell with it, we'll make holes in it. Ice is not a problem.

But I sure would like to go back to Cuba this year for nice (almost)-naked dives...

December isnt as cold as february in the sea :)

Ive got a nice drysuit, nice undersuit and dive all year round. Got to get my moneys worth!

Have some ice dives planned in Jan.

Yeah, the water here in utah is freaking cold. the surface temp in dec jan is around 5 degrees give or take 10. bring cold in water that is in the 70's i cant belive that.

NO. You can get over that limitation with a proper equipment. It is only money issue :)

Get your loved ones involved in scuba and then you can start exchanging fun gifts for the holidays. There's nothing more romantic that getting a drysuit from your s.o.

This will be my first winter as a diver. I've got a 7mil, so I'll make at least a few dives (even have one planned for New Year's Day).
