Cozumel in August 2009

Arriving Saturday for 2 weeks escape from the miserable weather here in the UK!

Staying at the White Sands (aka Allegro). My wife and my friend are both OW. I'm DM, so chances are I'm going to get buddied up with someone here for some of the more advanced dives !

First time in Cozumel, looking forward to seeing how it compares to Red Sea / Maldives !

Hi friends.
This is my 7th visit to Cozumel.
As soon as arriving Cozumel, jumped on afternoon boat trip to Paradise Reef.
water temperatur:30C/86F
visibility: +30m/+100ft so beautiful
current:weak to mild

At AquaSafari, 3rd tank is free, If find lionfish and DM capture or report to marine park.

My wife and I will be at Fiesta Americana Aug 10-15th, this is probably our 10th trip there, including getting married there 10 years ago. We are going with another couple that doesn't dive which is good for her as she doesn't night dive and that is my favorite. If anyone is going to be there during that time...let me know if you are going out at night. We have not chosen a dive shop yet but usually go with Papa Hogs...wife doesn't like change so that is what it more than likely be. We don't mind the open boats since we are not on them long.

Does anyone by chance know what the taxi should cost from the Airport to Fiesta Americana?

We always take the shuttle. I want to say taxis are not allowed to pick up from the airport but I may be off base. I know there is some sort of taxi rule and the airport but I don't recall exactly what it is.
