I'm going to have to come up with a different place to put it, I usually have either my t-shirt untucked or an aloha shirt on. so on the belt won't work...maybe on the back of my sandle strap.
I need to find a crime scene around town to steal a small piece of tape from, you think being an architectural designer I'd have access to this stuff.

Chuck fights fire for a living, so while we don't have surveyor's tape, we've got a boat-load of the yellow and black "Do Not Cross" tape.



Sorry....my imagination ran away with me for a moment.The possibilities are endless....

We'll come up with some configuration and be on the look-out for other scuba-boarders.

I don't have a countdown clock on this board, but we don't arrive until May 16th, so I think it will be close to forever before we get to meet any of you.

I posted this in another thread, but it was at the end of a pretty long one; my apologies if you've seen this already:

I will be on Cozumel May 8-22, staying at Caribe Blu, diving with Blue Angel. I'd love to meet other SB'ers down there, so here's what I'm doing to "troll for ScubaBoarders". I've got some of that Day-Glo yellow green survey tape (like they use to mark trees), and whenever I go out and about on Cozumel, I will affix an unobtrusive yet obvious piece of it to a belt loop or something. If you see that, feel free to walk right up and introduce yourself. Also, feel free to get some of this tape and similarly mark yourself, and if I see it, I'll introduce MYself.

I just threw a roll of orange surveyors tape into my divebag. I'll either tie some to the back of my hat or around the wrist like an AI bracelet!

The countdown is starting to look good!

I will be there May 7-14, staying at La Ceiba and diving with Martin. I will see what I can find, I know I have some of that tape somewhere. Would a specific side and place be useful, like on left side belt area so it can be seen from both front or behind? That way if we pass on the street, the "flags" would be on the same side and easier to see.

Just about any hardware store has surveyor's tape. It's a lot thinner than that danger tape, and you can easily tear off a piece by hand.

I think we should give extra points to anyone who can get their tape from an actual crime scene (no extra points, however, if you come from NY, LA or Chicago).

Why not?? it isn't THAT easy to get crime tape in NYC.. Wait, now that I think about it yes it is.....
