I'm a Fish!
I was wondering if there is a website that I can check out the differences between the various models of US Divers Conshelf Series of First and Second Stage regs.

In particular, I was wondering about the HP and Lp ports available in the different versions.

Thanks for any inputs.

The XIV has 1 hp and 3 lp ports. The hp uses the same thread as the lp's. You'll need an adapter to convert to a standard hp hose. Don't hook up your lp inflator hose to the hp port by accident. :) The second stages are the classic chromed brass.

The 21 has 1 hp and 4 lp ports. It's thus good for single tank drysuit diving. The seconds are plastic but otherwise use the same diaphragm and o-rings for rebuild.

If you're a little patient, others will show up and give you more Conshelf info than you can shake a stick at. No other website needed.

There are some changes within models, I have 2 Conshelf XII's that my kids use in the pool. The one from 1974 has 1 HP port and 2 LP ports the other from 1977 has 1 HP and 3 LP port.

Ihave 2 conshelf se2's. The first stages have 1 - 7/16" HP port, 1 - 1/2" LP port - meant as primary port, designed to US navy specs for deep diving and 3 - 3/8" LP ports. The first stage body has the same appearance as previous models such as XIV. The second stage is plastic. The service kits are the same for the first stage for Titan, SE3, SE2, SE, 22, 21, 20, XIV and XII. Second stage kits for these fit SE3, SEA4, 22, 22OCTO, SEA2, SEA, SE2, 21, 21octo, XIV, 30, Aquarius, Pioneer, Pro Diver.

That being said, the right model of conshelf can be suited for almost any dive, deep or shallow.

I guess the rebuild kits address the internals regardless of the number of ports? There seem to be some variation even between the same model numbers given the number and size of HP and LP ports. This is what has me looking for enlightenment.

Another note - it may be hard to find or impossible to find hoses to fit the 1/2" lp port. However, adapters or plugs are available. I use mine as stage regs right now, so my 1/2" ports are plugged. Another interesting fact is that the LP seat is identical to sherwood 2nd stage seats. The still unopened factory service kit in front of me actually has the sherwood symbol on the LP seat in it!!

On the SE all three of the LP ports are 1/2'......probably the least desirable Conshelf for this reason.
