Thank you. Most folks here do, they just argue with me because they're bored :bonk:

Weve beaten the fin pivot to death in previous notes. Basically if you can do a fin pivot youre trimmed all wrong. Most probably your instructor doesnt know this, because even with 15+ years of experience divers fall into two basic categories:Dr. Jay once bubbled...
Hmmmm.....proficiency. I guess I can do the skill (i.e. - mask removing, buddy breathing, fin-pivot/hover).

Mike,
As to what skills I had to demonstrate proficiently, click here.
My instructor has been teaching for 15+ years. Hopefully this won't turn into a credentials debate.
Hmmmm.....proficiency. I guess I can do the skill (i.e. - mask removing, buddy breathing, fin-pivot/hover). It may not be perfect but then again, I'm sure no one can do it perfectly. It gives me something to build on.
I digress back to what I previously posted. Practice helps! I work on buoyancy skills every time I hit the water. I don't see how you can't (wait a minute, I take that back ). I don't get to dive as much as I'd like to, but as usil said, I'm always learning.

Yeah, well, we live in the real world where this just doesn't work. If you aren't a serious cyclist, don't ride a bike to the park? If you aren't a serious snowskiier, stay off the slopes? If you aren't a professionally trained driver, stay off the road? Become a technical guru, or stay off the computer?usil once bubbled...
But when I see people banging off the bottom, smacking coral with fin tips and equipment, assembling gear in unsafe manners, not really caring about other divers, I get a little pissed.
IMO its because they only do it two three times a year and don't really care as long as they are happy with what they want.
