How bout not allowing divers in the quarry? Things will clear up then.

From what I am hearing there might as well have been no divers there this year. With viz sucking they went elsewhere. Not that I blame them. Zero viz= zero divers.

Nope. Turnover, wind, rain and run-off will still keep it churned up. But with no divers, who cares about the viz.

Well, at least somebody get's it. Jekspur or whatever his name is will too once he destroys all the things divers came to see, but they can't because theres no viz AND nothing to see. Nothing like diving a man made hole in the ground with 2 foot viz.:mooner:

SwimJim,

You have offended me! I am merely trying to clean a quarry up that has unnatural species in them. A rock crusher is not a natural species, a platform is not natural, a dump truck is not natural.

By the weekend I will have a diver safety plan in place to ensure all of these devices are removed and secured in a secret location. I'm still short a few hundred 5lb lift bags, but i am sure by April this will be ok. If I need to I will dip into my own personal finances to fund this event.

Hey Jim! Read Jepsukar's self description. I think dialog like this is what he does for a living!

Every quarry that I have ever seen has a few dump trucks and a rock crusher. In fact they have a few front end loaders and a few pick ups with explosives. How can you say that those aren't natural things to see in a rock quarry. OK so the platform isn't something that you normally see. But then again you normally don't see divers in a rock quarry either. :D

FWIW Dean, that description put under my name was not done by me, but SB staff..most likely Howarde.

Crpntr133, I am returning the 20 5lb lift bags you donated. You have officially been removed from this project. Please stop sending me links to every quarry in the midwest telling me we can hit those next.

Shh, I was trying to get them off your back! BTW, that was 5 20lb bags that I sent you. :D Hmm, maybe you are dyslexic! That would also explain why you think that rock crushers and dump trucks aren't natural in a quarry.

And to the OP...sorry Adam!

Unnatural? How dare you call this work of nature, unnatural? As soon as they removed the pumps it filled up with water, how much more natural do you want?

These objects are down there polluting the entire natural quarry with their filth. Fish swim in and out of them, stuff is inhabiting them now, now that my non-friend is unnatural. Removing these things will improve the visibility as they are blocking my view from seeing past them. Do your realize when I'm one foot away from the boat they sunk, unnaturally I might add, the viz is only one foot!!!

Imagine the possibilities if that boat was removed, I could have atleast 10-20ft of natural visibility!!

It makes all the sense in the world. Let me know when you have a 5lb lift bag to donate. I need about 800 more.

Thanks,
Don't forget about all of those darn rocks and boulders
Why not try 5,000 1-pound lift bags

Still on a rock in the middle of the Pacific.

Hi,

That was what I was originally going to do, however I could not find 1lb lift bags.

Crap, I didnt think of the rocks and boulders...i bet some of those are natural...but im sure there are some stragglers. I will now remove all rocks to ensure no alien unnatural species in the quarry.

This is shaping up quite nicely.
