I'm doing an Emergency Action Plan for the Morehead City area and I was wondering if anyone can tell me an average distance from shore where you start getting cell phone service (or start loosing service).
The cell phone obviously wouldn't be the primary method of contacting emergency services, but I'm just wondering how close in you would need to get before a cell call would get out (assuming the incident occurred on a boat dive and marine radio failed).
