I know a woman who abused ibuprofen, her kidneys failed and she died waiting for a transplant. I alternate, Alleve, ibuprofen, aspirin, and i am adding CBD candy as an alternate. Thanks @tridacna for that review.
I am not taking any chances traveling with it. Thanks @Duke Dive Medicine for that article. Last question about diving while taking oils, i will have to figure out how just the non-intoxicating CBD oil does affect me even if, as @J322Y said, it does not have THC in it. I shall eat CBD sour gummy watermelon candies and test for pain relief, my reflexes and my cognitive abilities and report back soon. I do have a bio degree, so i think i can design a good experiment with controls. YMMV.

If you're designing an experiment, you'll have no problem getting volunteers - even on SB. I'm in! Send me some candy and the designed regimen. I presume that your design has n>1. Otherwise statistically worthless. I can't wait...this is going to be great!

The FDA would have my gutz for “illegal human experiments” should i so much as ask my hubby to participate. (Plus the candies are $30 a bag!!!)
But the candies can be found in amazon and ebay, so if we all, independently, decide to evaluate, and post our results, well, then I won’t go to jail, but we will have more than anecdotal evidence. In fact, i shall set up a survey! I hope I can’t get arrested for a survey?

Looks like you have some chronic condition, just like the woman you've mentioned? This is very different from temporary sore muscles.

True, however from some brief searching it seems that CBD and/or THC can be used to treat some types of chronic pain, and also short term issues like muscle cramps.

I've been having regular issues with cramps in my calves and thighs while diving. It's something I'm concerned about. I'm reading FL law about CBD/THC. I definitely don't want to dive high, but relieving the cramps without effecting my awareness would be great.

True, I have wicked arthritis in hip and hands, but sore muscles because I exercise daily, light weight lifting. I will go down fighting old age with all the stretches, anti inflammatories, exercise and, yes, Scuba to the end, or my kids put me in a locked ward.

This is the best post on SB in a while! I reckon there’s a lot of folks who think like you do. I had a wicked workout with a trainer in the gym this morning and at 58 I’m aching big time now. Not sure that I’d have a candy for that though. Almost legal in NJ.

How interesting!

Finally, an N=1 study that properly samples the entire intended population. :)

Edit: Oops! Just re-read my post and realized that it could be interpreted as snotty/sarcastic. Not in the least. Struck me as funny that yes, indeed, a proper study as described could be done. In this time of fake news and junk science, that is a breath of fresh air...

A study with one participant is perfectly valid... for that one person. It is just when trying to extrapolate to the rest of the population that we need lots of participants. Thus, after I purchase my experimental supplies, and design and post my plan, perhaps others will join me in this “personalized study”

Couple of questions about the product, especially since ordering off Amazon came up.

1.) Is it prone to trigger a positive result for marijuana on a urine drug screen? These are commonly done at emergency room presentations or Psychiatric hospital admissions, on the job for new hires and/or randomly thereafter etc...

2.) What level of confidence does a given source merit for consistency and purity of the product? Illicit marijuana use is sometimes 'laced' with something else, which can land someone thinking they're 'just doing pot' in an E.R. with a psychotic break testing positive for another drug (e.g.: amphetamine). Are you getting a consistent product from a reliable producer, such as one of the more reputable 'medical marijuana' producers might be viewed as?

I'm thinking this thread may be viewed by others over time, so I'm asking hoping whatever decisions they make will be informed ones.

Richard.
