The 200's have been phased out for quite a few years now, it's now 300's and a single 800. The first 8Max are supposed to be delivered this year.

This article from November 2017 says that they are retiring their 300s as part of a fleet modernization plan, it doesn't mention 200s.

Welcome to Cayman Airways

That would have been a 300 then? I can't recall the phase-out of the 200's as that was way before I came to the island, but I believe the last one was retired in 2009 or abouts. Also online pics show last pics from about that time.

Just a small diversion into full aviation geek mode...

737-200 - 'cigar' shaped low bypass Pratt & Whitney JT8D engines under the wing, 'bucket' style reversers.

737-300 - bigger CFM International CFM56 high bypass engines mounted in front of wing. (also available with different fuselage lengths as -400 or -500 model.)

I always liked flying Cayman airways. Good fares, 2 free checked bags as KathyV notes plus a hot meal and free rum punch. Always enjoyed starting and ending the trip with the rum punch even if the virgin kind.

And just to be complete...

737-800 aka 'Next Generation' or NG. New wing compared to 100 to 500 series, amongst many other modernizations. Also available with different fuselage lengths as -600, -700 and -900.

Well then, they were in violations of the FAR"s as the briefing card was from a 200...we flew the NG out to MIA.

I have a few hundred hours in the 300..
