Can I Register Something That was Bought 18 Months Ago?

I recently purchased a new Seaquest Balance on eBay from someone who bought it a little over a year ago for her husband. The packaging is unopened and everything looks just like I would expect coming out inventory at my LDS including a blank warranty card. I was wondering whether I can still submit the warranty card if she provides information regarding where and when it was purchased. I did confirm that it was bought through a B&M store and not online.

Also, apart from possibly not having some features of the 2008 model, is there anything that I should be concerned with?

Just wait till Christmas, fill out the warranty card and mark it down as a gift. Not receipt necessary for gifts and send it in.
