Bah! If I get a drysuit they will only get even more hilarious ;) Examples: Gidds does a feet-first ascent, Gidds springs a leak, Gidds' dive buddy refuses to let her out of her dry suit after the dive due to obnoxious behavior, Gidds has extreme pee-valve envy ;) I will be giving you all a blow-by-blow account of my drysuit class :D
I'm always afraid of getting pulled over while driving around with a wetsuit on and getting arrested because the officer thinks I am insane.

How was your dive today?

good.
55 deg water. 5-8 foot viz.
did 70 minn max depth of 69 feet
dove with Jim Jam, and dbg40
i had to bag out on the second dive because i had to be back home by noon, but i stood around talking till noon and was late anyway. so i shoulda just dove..
o well.. i still enjoyed myself.
good diving good company

We were very warm this weekend - IN THE POOL!
It was drysuit class this weekend, and I was a mess. That feet-first thing is a real pain, so we'll be practicing a LOT in the next few weekends! ;)

do it easy:
There is some strange pleasure in driving with a wetsuit on. I've only done it once to get to the other side of a lake, but I had this feeling that I was ready for anything. I don't think that I would wear a wetsuit in the shower, but then again, I usually don't rinse my gear. :D

Gidds, these threads are great reading- don't ever get a drysuit. :D

Yeah, something about a wetsuit that gives you that superhero feeling......lol.
You would have loved our SI today. Three of us went for coffee in our wetsuits (sweatshirts on over) and sat at a table eating muffins and pastry. I felt bad about the puddles we left on the floor around the table, but the girl working there said no problem when we asked for a mop. I think they got a good laugh at us......still surprised they even allowed us to sit down.:D

Oh and I am looking forward to Gidds screaming to be let our of her suit! hehehe;)

You WILL let me out of my suit, especially if it is one of those occaisons when I really want out due to extreme pee-valve envy!

I'm stuck with evil rental suits at least temporarily. I don't like the idea of things I can't do the zipper on myself. I'm also a little worried about getting stuck in the neck seal.

I wouldn't worry about getting stuck in the neck seal.... you can stretch latex so much that even if you had a head the size of Charlie Brown you could still get the seal over it.
