The definition of "cold" for somebody who is small and is diving wet is different from "cold" for somebody wearing doubles and diving dry :shakehead

You didnt miss anythig Chris. The vis was awful probably all the classes going on and current dragging out the silt. My sinuses were killing me a sharp pain right smack in the middle of my head and teeth. Nice to get back in thoug. I feel like I got a low grade fever right now. P.S. my buddy did a feet up accent on his first drysuit dive but he was using his camera so maybe he's got some good footage. We had a good laugh at the surface and a bit of fun.

You missed a puffer fish the size of a grape!:11:

Where were you hiding exactly? We got there a touch after nine and adjourned to the left cove to avoid all the obnoxious kids.

We were in a silver land rover by the obnoxious kids. Parked near the the end of the lot. I didnt see any car with main plates or a hood that spelled YIDD'S so I didnt notice ya. We also had to properly weight my buddy so the boat launch was the best place to do that in. No wonder the vis was so bad.

LOL......I saw the title to this thread in the 'latest threads' at the main page and just knew it was you Gidds!
Too funny....well a pretty good day of diving! Some major highlights were the zebra eel and the leopard puffer!....alright I have no clue what the 'actual' names are so I'm makin 'em up! Ya know we're not ALL scientists!:D Oh and that lonely angel fish was a big surprise.
Vis could have been better, from the surface it looked as though it was going to be great. At depth though, it was maybe 10' at best.
Water temps still feel comfy, getting out is a different story when there's a breeze. Nice that you could see your breath while floating in the water putting the fins on.:11:

I saw your car and saw you guys leave. I hate obnoxious kids but you are of an apporopriate stature and demeanor to blend in with them ;) BTW we weren't in my car we were in the silver Jetta with RI plates parked on the far side of the lot.

For your information I am sitting in bed with my heating pad and a sleeping bag over my head. I will go and look up the exact taxonomic classification of our exotic finds after I finish my fat-free hot dog ;)

Darn I should have nosied around a bit more. You're right we blended in perfect they actually thought we were one of them and one of them tried to give me a wedgie while suiting up ;)

I don't think you'd want to have harassed me today, I am in a beligerant mood. I would have done worse than give you a wedgie

i saw a puffer fish last winter during a night dive. it was about 6" long. we where all amazed and thought it was so cool to see a puffer fish in this area...
After the dive i did a little research and in the book it was called a "North Atlantic puffer fish"
so much for out cool rare find..
altho in all my diving in the area that was the ONLY time i ever saw one
