Glad it was but a sun burn. Some medicines will make you more vulnerable, too.

We weren't that deep, I'm still diving air AL80's
The stuff I had to use to kill the reaction to work makes my arms extremely vulnerable, I forgot:14:
The no hot showers for a few months is a real pain in the... well not in the:mooner: but close.
Cold shower before work every day, not my preferred start to a shift.

Treatment for ear syphillis: Flush your ears after diving with Uncle Don's ear remedy. Penicillin shots don't work anymore, as the ears are anatomically isolated from the buttoxens.

I was taking doxycycline once for my first trip to Hawaii - snorkeled for hours in that famous bay on Oahu I can't spell. Boy did I burn!

Don't remember what mine was, basically a super version of hydrocortizone(spelling?), I was cautioned that because of the large area and concentration that I would have it end up in my bloodstream and be very at risk for side effects. I had a few but they've got away.
I was also told to avoid hot water, and sun for a year
Fortunately the water here is cold.
but I miss the sun.
