So, I was given a bunch of tanks for our urchin removal campaign. I’m going through them now to see what’s usable and what is not.
I was going to make a joke about leaving two tanks alone in the garage overnight and coming out in the morning and finding this:
So what we have is the first group closest is 5 steel 72’s, 4 of which are HDG and one vinyl dipped. The beat up yellow one in the middle is HDG, somebody just sprayed cheap yellow paint on it and it’s flaking off. I haven’t looked inside any of them yet.
The far group is a bunch of bad alloy aluminum tanks and they all will go to recycle.
The two in the middle are also aluminum, one is a Luxfer 01-90 so it’s good and the other one is an oddball. It’s an aluminum but it’s skinnier than 7-1/4” it’s more like 6.9” like a 72.
You can see the stampings.
There’s no brand name stamp and a special permit number 6498. Maybe someone can help me out with this one?
