I'm a relatively new diver (about a year) and absolutely hooked - in the middle of NAUI Advanced and Rescue classes now. Unfortunately, I've just been deferred as a diver due to recent changes in my previously asymptomatic mitral valve prolapse. Anyone been through anything similar? How'd it turn out? I'd love a little reassurance; the thought of being unable to dive again is causing more chest pain than anything my mitral valve has done.

I've been surfing the DAN web site for my own issues. You may want to search their archives for information. Here is the link to one FAQ I found on MVP.

If you'd like to hear a personal experience with this, PM me.
I've taken the long journey and can share quite a bit on this topic.
